Whenever you buy ANY tool that utilizes a rechargeable battery, it is best to purchase a second battery. Used to do this after I bought my original WORX GT (not the lithium battery). When it's from use throughout winter I merely rotate the "old" batteries within the charger (they lose charge when relaxing in non-use). My old batteries continue to be woking absolutely fine, and that I expect that when it's time for brand new batteries, the brand new Lithium Ion batteries is going to be better still.I purchase a alternative Worx WA3152 18 volt battery from Amazon.com. So glad I'm in possession of the additional battery. I really like my WORX WA3152 & the additional battery helps me complete my edging all-in-one day.
